Introducing our new Bee Preserver floats!
Bees rely on safe sources of water to stay hydrated throughout the summer months. Bees can drown if they fall in deep water without something to hold on to. Robin Haglund of Garden Mentors began noticing that her bees were using one of my floats as a landing pad in her water feature. The bees were able to crawl down the side of the float to safely get a drink of water without falling in the larger container. I have developed a new line of glass floats. They are designed specifically to help bees get to drinking water safely in larger water features by adding partially melted glass pieces on the outside surface of the float. These glass pieces give something for the bees to hold on to while traveling down to the water level. We will also donate $3 from the sale of each float to the Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees to help with their plight. Here’s a link to our new line of Bee Preserver floats available in 12 different color combinations and three sizes. Prices range from $13.95 for the small size to $31.95 for the large size.
